It was very grey when we first arrived in Ljubjana so I played around with the images a little to try and bring out something interesting - in this case the rather menacing sky.
Church of the Annunciation Ljubljana
Ljubljana University. Weather still grey and nasty but I like the clouds.
Ljubljana. Still grey but I like the clouds.
Dragon on the Dragon Bridge Ljubljana. Again grey weather so I'm playing around with the image. I think these black and white silhouettes against the sky look good.
This is the same as the last shot but higher exposure showing more detail.
I'm particularly fond of this one as the cloud formation makes it look like the dragon's breathing smoke
Skofja Loka - a very old Slovenian town. Weather still wet and grey so I went for a wet grey image.
Skofja Loka again
Lake Bled. Still very wet.
Lake Bled panorama taken from Bled castle.
Bled castle chapel
Church of the Assumption on Lake Bled island.
Memorial to the first men to climb Mt Triglav at Bohinj. Weather still rubbish so I'm still doing the silhouette/scary sky thing. But I think it works.
The church at Lake Bohinj. Weather still grey
The walk to Savica waterfall. You're right we weren't there in Autumn but I can make trees go brown at the touch of a button. Cool huh?
This is what the scene actually looked like.
Savica waterfall. Black and white - vaguely thought it might look a bit Ansel Adams-ish....
War cemetery, Lake Bohinj.
The view from Mt Vogel over Lake Bohinj. This was about 3/4 of the height from which I went hang-gliding.
